Terms and Conditions
- The Win Sweet Treats For Your Street Trip (“Game”) is valid from 5 July 2021 to 14 February 2022 (“Promotion Period”).
- During the Promotion Period, an in-App push notification message and email will be sent when User makes a successful “Pay For Street Hail” pairing for a street-hail metered fare trip via the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App (“App”), with linked Mastercard as payment mode in the App.
- Through the in-App push notification message or email, which contains a unique link, User will be given ONE chance to play the Game. Upon clicking the unique link, User will be redirected to the Game microsite to play the Game.
- After playing the Game and winning a prize, User will receive an email about the prize details, its redemption validity period as well as steps to redeem the prize.
- These are the other criteria for the Game:
- User must ensure his/her email address in the App’s profile is correct and verified before participating in the Game. All notifications related to the Game and prizes won will be sent to this email address;
- Each unique link is valid for 72 hours from the time it is sent. Any link that has not been used to play the Game within 72 hours will be deactivated, and User forfeits his/her chance to play the Game;
- Each prize won by User is valid for redemption directly from the merchant within two weeks from the date and time (hh:mm) of the prize notification email (“Prize Validity Period”), unless stated otherwise. Details will be stated in the prize notification message;
- Prizes issued but not redeemed by User within the Prize Validity Period will be forfeited; and
- Prizes issued are non-exchangeable for cash or other items. All other applicable Terms and Conditions for individual prizes will be stated in the prize notification message.
- To redeem the prize, User has to approach the merchant’s outlet or designated redemption location, and follow the steps indicated in the Prize notification message. Note: All food related prize items must be redeemed by 28 Feb 2022, 11:59PM or the indicated two-week Validity Period from the date and time (hh:mm) of the prize notification email, whichever is earlier.
- ComfortDelGro Taxi Promo Codes (“Promo Code”) will be issued in the prize notification message sent to the User’s validated email address. User will be required to enter the Promo Code into the ‘Tap for Promo Code’ field in the App and to redeem it on his/her ride.
- Each Promo Code is limited to ONE redemption for in-App bookings or for “Pay For Street Hail” trips, subject to the expiry date indicated on the Promo Code;
- User must enter the Promo Code accurately into the ‘Tap for Promo Code’ field when pairing the trip in the App, and must use his/her Mastercard on-file to redeem it. The validity of each redemption will be verified upon successful booking or pairing of taxi trip on the App;
- Multiple promo codes cannot be used at the same time for one single booking trip or street hail taxi trip;
- Promo Code will be deducted from the final fare upon trip completion. In instances where the final fare falls below the Promo Code value, the balance will not be refunded;
- In the event that the trip is cancelled or if the user fails to turn up, User is deemed to have forfeited the Promo Code. No replacement of forfeited Promo Code will be made.
- By participating in the Game, and if it has been established from the ComfortDelGro Taxi system that the street-hailed metered fare trip was completed, User shall not be allowed to request for a refund of the trip fare that has been transacted on his/her Mastercard.
- ComfortDelGro Taxi is unable to guarantee the User’s internet connectivity on his/her mobile device, which might be affected due to location and/or the telco source. If for any unforeseen circumstances that the system issuance of links or prizes was disrupted due to connectivity problems, the current trip’s transaction shall not be eligible for the Game.
- ComfortDelGro Taxi employees shall not be eligible to win any of the Top Prizes* during the Promotion Period.
- Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for ComfortDelGro Taxi, its advertising and promotional agencies to contact the Winner and arrange for the Winner to be featured on marketing communication materials (including but not limited to features on ComfortDelGro Taxi’s e-newsletters, social media write-ups and short videos) for advertising and promotional purposes unless prohibited by law.
- Mastercard does not assume any responsibility for any products and services offered under the Promotion. The products and services have not been certified by Mastercard and under no circumstances shall the inclusion of any product or service in the Promotion to be construed as an endorsement or recommendation of such product or service by Mastercard.
- ComfortDelGro Taxi reserves the right at its absolute discretion to decline any User request to resend the unique link to play the Game or to resend Prize notification message to the User’s email address; and to terminate the promotion or vary, delete, add to any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice including without limitation to the date of the promotion.
Q: Where can I find the Link to play the Game?
A: The Link can be found in the email that was sent to your email address indicated in your App profile. If you do not see receive it in your primary inbox, do check the “Spam” or “Junk” folder.
Q: Why did I not receive the link to play the Game even though I had paid the street hail trip with the “Pay For Street Hail” function with my Mastercard on the App?
A: Please provide your street hail trip details to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get in touch with you within five working days.
Q: Can the Link to the Game be sent to me if I had accidentally deleted the email / overlooked and forgot to play the Game within 72 hours?
A: We regret to inform that we are not able to resend the Link or renew the Link’s validity beyond 72 hours.
Q: What will happen to my prize if my mobile phone hung while I was playing the Game?
A: There might have been some network issues on your mobile phone due to your location or telco’s network reception while you were playing the Game. Once you have started the Game, your prize would have been issued. Please check for the Prize notification details sent to your email address as indicated in your App profile. Do also check your email account’s “Junk” or “Spam” folder.
Q: Can the email containing the details of my prize be sent to me again if I had accidentally deleted it?
A: Please email us at email@example.com and we will get in touch with you within five working days.
Q: How should I go about redeeming my prize from the Game?
A: Please refer to the details in the prize notification email that will be sent to you if you have won a prize. If you had won Taxi Promo Code(s), please follow the steps on how you can redeem and use the Promo Code(s) on our App. We advise that you keep that email secure and not misplace or delete it as the Promo Code (which is a string of alpha-numeric characters) has to be keyed in when booking or paying for a taxi trip on our App.
Q: Can I redeem my prize after the redemption validity period of two weeks?
A: We regret to inform that we are unable to extend the validity of the prize beyond two weeks. Do take note that the 2-week validity is calculated based on the Date and Time (hh:mm) of the prize notification email that was sent to you.
Q: What should I do if the merchant or the outlet that I went to could not complete the prize redemption for me?
A: Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with all the relevant details of your prize item and the issues that you had encountered during redemption (including screenshots, if any), and we will get in touch with you within five working days.
