Hello, Punggol! Meet Zig Driverless, our autonomous shuttle

If you’ve ever wished the ride could come to you while you’re still finishing your kopi, good news: ComfortDelGro and Pony.ai are teaming up to bring autonomous shuttle services to Punggol. Think reliable, fixed-route shuttles that make first- and last-mile trips simpler for families, seniors, and everyone in between.

The big moment

We unveiled the autonomous shuttle at Punggol Digital District together with Mr Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance; Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Trade and Industry and Advisor to Punggol GRC GROs; Ms Sun Xueling, Senior Minister of State for National Development and Transport and Advisor to Punggol GRC GROs; Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Education and for Sustainability and the Environment and Advisor to Punggol GRC GROs; and Ms Yeo Wan Ling, Advisor to Punggol GRC GROs, Executive Secretary of the National Transport Workers’ Union and Advisor to the National Taxi Association—a proud step toward making everyday travel smoother and more inclusive.

A word from our MD

ComfortDelGro’s Managing Director/Group CEO, Mr Cheng Siak Kian, shared our plan to bring in an initial fleet of 5 Pony.ai vehicles for the shuttle service—part of our commitment to safe, scalable AVs that serve real community needs.

What to expect (in simple terms)

Punggol’s Zig Driverless service will run along a 12-km corridor with seven planned stops, linking homes, transit nodes and key amenities for an easy, everyday ride.

Services will roll out in the coming months (pending regulatory approval), with passenger service targeted to start early in 2026. We’ll share exact dates as we tick the final boxes, so keep an eye on our channels.

How to book? (It’s easy!)

Once live, you can book Zig Driverless in the CDG Zig app, just like your usual rides, with a clear “Zig Driverless” option and step-by-step prompts for stops and seats.
