13 November 2018 – Anyone who owns an electric vehicle (EV) knows that a full charge takes anywhere between three and four hours – not quite the zippy top-up that petrol or diesel car users are used to.
Soon this will be a thing of the past with a new Direct Current (DC) fast charging service from ComfortDelGro.
The Terra 54 CG charging station, which will be operated by the Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary ComfortDelGro Engineering Pte Ltd in partnership with global EV charging software and solutions provider, Greenlots, promises a full charge up in as little as 30 minutes.
In addition to the Alternating Current (AC) standard that most charging stations offer, the fast charging station provided by pioneering technology leader, ABB, operates primarily on the DC method, and will be the first of its kind here once test documents are cleared with the Authorities.
