23 December 2016 – ComfortDelGro cabbies who are facing financial difficulties can now seek help directly from the Company.
The new Cabby Hardship Fund is being set up by ComfortDelGro Taxi to assist its cabbies and their immediate families who require financial aid arising from death, total and permanent incapacity, as well as serious chronic medical conditions.
Managed by a committee made up of Management staff and the Company’s taxi representatives, it will assess all aid requests and disburse the funds based on the merits of each case. Cabbies can put up their requests to the Company’s Driver Relations Officers either in writing or in person.
