For example, if you opt-in for ComfortProtect and start your trip at 8am today, you will be covered up till 7.59am the next day. If you made two trips within the same day and activated ComfortProtect, you will be covered for 48 hours and so on. All you need is just 30 cents to stay protected for 24 hours. It’s that simple!
What’s so unique about ComfortProtect?
ComfortDelGro Taxi is the only point to point transport operator to offer an insurance plan that covers both personal accident and COVID-19.
For personal accident, ComfortProtect covers accidental death and permanent total disability for up to S$50,000 per claim.
For COVID-19, it comes with a cash benefit of S$500 per claim if you have been tested COVID-19 positive following a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test within 14 days from the date of your car ride as specified in the latest policy schedule; and are hospitalised to receive in-patient treatment for a consecutive period of at least 3 days.

How does one opt in?
Simply tap on the “ComfortProtect” button in the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App when you next book ComfortRIDE.
ComfortProtect is eligible for passengers aged between 18 and 65 years old. It is only available on ComfortRIDE now and will be made available to the Meter Fare booking option as well as street hail in the future.
