What Is The Platform Fee And When Does It Apply?

The platform fee is a small charge added to all ride bookings made through app-based platforms (e.g. Zig by ComfortDelGro and Kris+). Starting 1 January 2026, the fee will range from $1.00 to $1.30 (inclusive of GST)

Why Do We Charge A Platform Fee?

The platform fee supports ongoing enhancements to the booking platforms (Zig by ComfortDelGro App and Kris+), enabling us to deliver a seamless, all-in-one solution for your mobility needs, including taxi and private-hire car bookings. We are committed to continually improving our features and expanding our services to enhance your experience. 

It also supports initiatives by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to provide CPF contributions and Work Injury Compensation (WIC) insurance for platform workers. These efforts give our drivers better protection, financial stability, and improved livelihoods. 

Which method of ride bookings includes the platform fee?

All bookings made via Zig by ComfortDelGro App and Kris+ will incur a platform fee. From 01 January 2026, the platform fee will range from $1.00 to $1.30 (inclusive of GST). It applies to all ride bookings through app-based platforms. Your receipt will show a clear breakdown of the fare, including the platform fee. 

Which method of ride bookings does not include the platform fee?

The platform fee does not apply to: 

  • Dial-A-Cab bookings (6552 1111) 
  • SMS-A-Cab bookings (71222) 
  • Street-hail trips 

Why is the fee changing from $1.00–$1.20 to $1.00–$1.30 (effective 01 Jan 2026)?

This platform fee adjustment helps defray the operating expenses to support the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) initiatives for CPF contributions and Work Injury Compensation (WIC) insurance for Platform Workers. This ensures our drivers benefit from CPF contributions and enhanced insurance coverage, and elevates our drivers’ livelihood, allowing them to have better earnings. 

Where can I view the platform fee for my booking trip?

You can view the platform fee for different ride types on the “Booking Information” screen by pressing the “Ride Details ” icon next to the ride selection. 

Additionally, the platform fee component can be found under “Trip Details” in your Zig by ComfortDelGro App. An e-receipt with a detailed fare breakdown will be sent to your registered email. You may also request a printed receipt from the driver at the end of your trip.
